Yannsy was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. She received the Lord as her Savior at the age of 8 while attending her family’s church. She moved to the United States as her family relocated to Southern California. She quickly realized that this would be a difficult transition for her and started to completely put her trust in the Lord through this process which led her to recommit her life to Jesus and walk in a stronger faith in Him. In 2005, she met her future husband and in 2008, they got married. Yannsy and her family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia in December 2019 while her husband was completing his studies at Liberty University and felt the Lord leading them to move here and make Lynchburg their home. Shortly after moving here she found Calvary Chapel Lynchburg and she and her family began attending. She felt that this was the best fit after having attended Calvary Chapel churches in California. She knew that verse by verse teaching was the best way to learn God’s word. After serving in Children’s Ministry as the Wednesday night coordinator for four years and thereafter the Hospitality Ministry, Yannsy had the opportunity to come on as part-time staff and serve the body of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg.

Hobbies: Travel when it is possible, decorate, create things in canva, try new food, go the movies, spend time with my family and friends, and playing board games.
