Troy met Jesus when he was just six years old, and that moment marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith and surrender. In high school, his family moved to California, where he started attending Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. It was there he met Rebecca, the girl who would become his wife and ministry partner.
In 1988, God opened the door for Troy and Rebecca to step into full-time ministry, serving young adults in Sydney, Australia. A few years later, they returned to Southern California, where Troy joined the team at Calvary Chapel Vista, leading in youth and missions. But it wasn’t long before God stirred their hearts for something new.
In 1994, Troy and Rebecca followed the call to plant a church on the East Coast, and Calvary Chapel Lynchburg was born. For over 30 years, Troy has been faithfully leading, teaching, and pointing people to Jesus, one verse and one chapter at a time. He’s currently taking the church through the Bible for the fourth time.
Troy and Rebecca have three amazing adult children and a growing crew of grandkids who fill their lives with joy.
