Missions

UNTIL THE WHOLE WORLD HEARS…

Calvary Chapel Lynchburg is deeply commited to obeying God’s commission to “go into all the world and preach the gospel.” This is done by assisting native believers who are working in their own countries and by sending missionaries to the foreign field for short and long term ministry. We encourage, fund, and provide opportunity for our members to be obedient to share the gospel in other countries.
Jesus said, “Go!” So we send out teams several times a year to places such as Nepal, India, Russia, England as well as domestic mission trips to evangelize the world! As long as there is one person who has not heard the Gospel, we will continue to proclaim Jesus Christ and Him crucified TILL THE WHOLE WORLD HEARS!
See below for the some of our church plants and the missionaries we are currently supporting!

Tyler and Cat were sent out of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg in 2018 to plant a church in Trussville, Alabama. With a focus on the Word of God, a reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit, and an attitude of grace in all things, Calvary Chapel Trussville exists to glorify the name of Jesus Christ and proclaim His truth both here and around the world.
  1. We would not stray from the foundation God gave us in our early years as we grow
  2. Our outreaches online, in the prisons, schools, and pregnancy centers would see a harvest of good fruit
  3. The Holy Spirit would fill our congregation and our community

  2. Santiago Christian Academy as they currently work with delayed texts books.
  3. Sustained strength and stamina

Nanda and Lisa have served as missionaries to Nepal, with a focus on training pastors and equipping them to teach the word of God. They are currently in the states, however, Nanda continues to oversee the training and equipping of pastors in Nepal.
  1. The Lord’s blessing and guidance over Calvary Bible Training (CBT), Hope Academy, and Calvary Church
  2. The 400+ pastors who have been through CBT, that much fruit would come from their churches and ministries
  3. The people of Nepal to come to know Christ as their Savior

  2. opening of partnership with Bible believing churches and organizations in mobilizing Filipinos for missions
Jaydon and Maddie are working alongside Calvary Chapel Manila, specifically ministering to street children. They are working toward starting a children’s center to meet the urgent needs of homeless kids, and to train them up in the Lord.
  1. God would bless the Children’s Center, and His Name would be glorified through the salvation of many children and their families.
  2. God would strengthen and guide us as we support Calvary Chapel Manila in the ministries we have been called to.
PJ and Jenny are seeking to reach the mormon community in Utah by building relationships and connections through their work and in their neighborhood.

Jim and Jennifer were sent out of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg in 2019 to take over the established work at Calvary Chapel Aiken, SC. Their heart is to reach the community of Aiken and to equip the saints for the work of ministry.
  1. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit to sweep over our fellowship bringing healing, revitalization, and new families.

We have the privilege of serving Jeff and Christina as they head back into the field – after 16 years of Jeff pastoring in Idaho. They are eager to use their Russian language skills gleaned over 13 years of church planting in the Vladimir region of Russia in the 90’s. They will evangelize, disciple, debrief missionaries, strengthen local ministries and in general encourage all who they come in contact with.
  1. Cultural insight and adaptation.
  2. To hear the Lord’s heart and obey Him in this adventure of faith sharing the Good News.
  3. Opportunities to come alongside and encourage other missionaries/church workers.
Jason and Britny are ministering to Georgian refugees through many different bible studies each week. The have a food ministry to meet the needs of these refugees, and they also teach English as second language. The priority of their ministry is to disciple and see many come to faith in Christ.

  2. Strength and provision to equip the saints.
  3. A building… this is a huge need as the ministry has boomed and we need a place to minister!
Patti was formerly a member of the LGBT community until she came to radical, saving faith in Christ. Her ministry, “Out of Egypt”, seeks to equip Christians via the local church and other venues to reach out and minister to the LGBT community; as well as those within the church who struggle with unwanted same-sex attraction or gender confusion, with the love and truth of the Gospel.
  1. Our youth that are being indoctrinated into LGBT ideology, and that I would have opportunities to share biblical “identity truth” with young people in both public and private schools.
  2. Protection for me as I travel (usually alone) and get hit with much spiritual attack; the enemy has a stronghold on false identity and hates the truth I share.
