CREATION CONFERENCE

VENUE:
CALVARY CHAPEL LYNCHBURG
TIME:
9AM – 12PM | TWO SESSIONS WITH Q&A TIME

John Baumgardner has a Ph.D. in geophysics from UCLA and worked in computational physics at Los Alamos National Laboratory beginning in 1984 for most of his scientific career. Since the mid-1980’s he has published extensively on catastrophic plate tectonics in connection with the Genesis Flood. He also served on the Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth (RATE) team that from 1997 to 2005 documented multiple lines of radioisotope evidence that the earth is thousands, not billions, of years old. After joining the Institute for Creation Research in 2005, he helped to formulate Mendel’s Accountant, a computer model for exploring population genetics issues relating to the origin and history of life. It shows, with no room for debate, that the processes of mutation and natural selection lead to genetic decline, not genetic improvement, in higher organisms. More recently he has developed software to study the erosion, sediment transport, and deposition produced by giant tsunamis during the Genesis Flood as the explanation of the layered, fossil-bearing sediment sequences that today blanket the continents. He has been active in creation apologetics for more than 45 years. He currently is research professor emeritus in the School of Engineering at Liberty University. John and his wife Mary are part of the Calvary Chapel Lynchburg fellowship.
