WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO FIND AT CALVARY CHAPEL LYNCHBURG:
We are a church that seeks to ENCOUNTER the Lord through dynamic worship and prayer, EQUIP the saints for the work of ministry, and EVANGELIZE – until the whole world hears. On a typical Sunday, you will hear from our Senior Pastor, Troy Warner. Back in August of 1994, Pastor Troy and his family moved to Lynchburg to begin the simple ministry of teaching the Word of God verse-by-verse and chapter-by-chapter, while loving and leading the flock.

Do you have small groups?
Our small groups (aka. Home Fellowships) are between 10-20 people, which meet outside of the church, every week, to discuss the Word of God and allow the Spirit to move on a smaller scale. We have groups meeting just about every weekday, spread out all over the Lynchburg area, so there is a group there for you! This is the best way to get plugged into both fellowship and service at Calvary Chapel Lynchburg, and we have been incredibly blessed by the fruit that God has borne through this ministry. What do I wear to church?
At Calvary, we don’t have a formal dress code. Some enjoy the opportunity to dress up, while others come in more casual attire. Feel free to come as you are!
What does your Children’s Ministry look like?
CCKIDS is an exciting part of what God is doing here at Calvary Chapel! Each service offers ministry for the children. We gather together for kid’s worship each Sunday morning after which each age group moves to it’s own class for Bible study. This includes teaching, games, activities and crafts that are designed to reinforce the Bible lesson of the day. We encourage everyone with children to take advantage of this dynamic ministry. You can see CCKids FAQ by clicking here.
What about Youth?
Our high school and middle school youth groups are a vital part of the ministry here at Calvary Chapel. Our vision is to set a fire in the young adults of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg, to begin to live their lives for Jesus Christ now, instead of waiting until later in life. We engage the Word of God, verse-by-verse together, with solid Bible-teaching and frequent events. Our youth groups meet on Sunday mornings during 1st and 2nd service and on Wednesday nights.
Can I get involved in serving?
Absolutely! We have more details on what it looks like to serve here at Calvary here.
